Terms of use

Last updated: 26 September 2026

These terms apply to the Isometra Workbench software (“the Software”), to its licences and to this website. Please read them before you install or buy.

1. Who we are

The Software and this website are provided by Américo Mateus Rodrigues, Rua Diu n.º 5, 1.º Dto., 2685-326 Prior Velho, Portugal, NIF (VAT number) PT 207991952, trading as Isometra (“Isometra”, “we”). You can reach us at [email protected].

2. The licence

  • Free edition. You may use the Free edition at no charge, for any lawful purpose, for as long as we offer it.
  • Paid licences. A paid licence (the Pro edition, or one or more packs) lets one named user use the features it includes on their computers for the paid term. It is personal and not transferable, except that we will move it to another person or computer of the same customer on request.
  • The Software is licensed, not sold. We keep all rights that are not expressly granted.

3. Subscription, price and renewal

  • Paid licences are sold as annual subscriptions, per user, at the price shown on the pricing page when you buy.
  • Unless you cancel before the renewal date, the subscription renews for another year at the price then published. You may cancel at any time; the licence then runs to the end of the paid term.
  • Prices exclude VAT, which is added where it applies.
  • Payment may be handled by a payment provider acting as seller of record; its own terms then apply to the payment.

4. The licence file and the end of a term

A Pro licence is a signed file that the Software checks on your computer. When the term ends there is a short grace period, after which the paid features stop. The Free features keep working and your projects and files always open and save. Updates released up to the last day of your term remain yours to use.

5. What you may not do

  • Share, sell or publish your licence file, or use one licence for several people.
  • Circumvent or tamper with the licence check.
  • Copy, modify, reverse engineer or decompile the Software, except where the law allows it despite this restriction.
  • Use the Software for anything unlawful.

6. Your data

The Software runs on your computer. Your models, drawings and projects stay in files you control; we do not receive them. You keep all rights in them. See the privacy policy.

7. Engineering results are aids

Spools, isometric drawings, PCF files, weights and centres of gravity are produced from the model you provide. They are aids for a qualified person, who remains responsible for checking them before use, for approval by any class society or authority, and for fabrication and installation. They are not certified calculations.

8. Warranty and liability

We work to make the Software reliable, but it is provided “as is”, without a warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the licence in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury, fraud or wilful misconduct, or any rights you have as a consumer.

9. Support and updates

Support is by email at [email protected]. We publish updates from time to time; paid licences cover the updates released during their term.

10. Ending these terms

You can stop using the Software at any time. We may end a licence if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, after telling you why and, where it can be fixed, giving you a reasonable time to fix it. Sections that by their nature continue (for example 5, 7 and 8) survive the end of the licence.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters to you we will tell you in advance, and a change never reduces what you already paid for during the current term.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Disputes go to the Portuguese courts that have jurisdiction over the seller’s address, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have to bring a claim where you live.
